Major General DMHD Bandara RWP RSP USP who was newly promoted to the rank of Major General was greeted to a Guard Turnout and honoured in a Guard of Honour upon his formal arrival at Headquarters premises of the 65 Division, Thunukkai.
In conformity with military traditions, in a formal military ceremony he was warmly welcomed by Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, all officers and other rankers representing the 65 Division Headquarters, and under command Brigades and Battalions. Later, the newly promoted General Officer Commanding planted a sapling followed by addressing officers and other rankers of the 65 Infantry Division and then attended the All Ranks Tea.
