571 BRIGADE CONTINUED THEIR RELEGIOUS ACTIVITIES IN KILINOCHCH
Newly constructed “ Lumbini Rest – House” and “Sri Sumana Saman Devale” was ceremonially opened by Major General Amal Karunasekara Commander - Security Forces, Kilinochchi on 27 December 2015 at Lumbini Temple, Kilinochchi. This religious building was constructed by the troops of 571 Brigade with the sponsorship of donors in Kilinochchi area.\r\n\r\n Coinciding with the opening ceremony, “Pirith Chanting Pinkama” was organized by 571 Bde on the same day evening at Lumbini Temple. The meritorious Act was conducted with the integral instructions and guidance of the Ven. Millawe Sumanathissa Thero, Chief Prelate of the Purvarama Viharaya, Moragahahena and Ven. Ingiriye Dhammalankara Thero, Chief Prelate of Lumbini Viharaya, Kilinochchi. Total number of 35 Ven. Bhikkhus were preceded to the temple premises by a colourful procession including many other traditional items.\r\n\r\n The pinkama was ended after offering the morning/lunch arms and atapirikara to the Bhikkhus. Large gathering, including, Acting General Officer Commanding – 57 Div, Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended the event.\r\n
