57 INFANTRY DIVISION ORGANIZED A LECTURE UNDER THE TOPIC OF FIRE SAFETY AND PREVENTIVE MEASURES

As per the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 57 Infantry Division Major General GRRP Jayawardena RWP RSP ndu, and was organized a lecture under the topic of "fire safety and preventive measures" at Divisional Headquarters on 24 March 2021. The lecture was conducted by the Fire Officer Mr. Purushoth from Fire Control Unit - Jaffna with the special focus on causes of fire, types of fire, different types of fire extinguishers and first aid. After the lecture, fire officer and his team displayed a demonstration, how to control the different types of fire and effective usage of fire extinguishers to the attendees.

This lecture was organized in line with the wednesday training programme with the aim of enhancing the knowledge on fire control and usage of fire extinguishers of Officers and Soldiers. 08 x officers and 85 x soldiers from Divisional Headquarters, all under command Brigades, Battalion and Regional Ammunition Dump - Kokavil were participated for the occasion.
