In a view of redefining of concept of operation and crafting new approaches to accomplish the desired missions, according to the instructions of Major General DGS Senarath Yapa RWP RSP the General Officer Commanding of 57 Division, a programme for conducting workshop in lining with the way forward strategy of Sri Lanka Army 2020-2025 has been designed by 57 Division. In that, the first workshop was conducted on 22 and 23 July 2020 at the HQ of 6 SLSR with the participation of the Officers of 572 Brigade, 6 SLSR and 14 SLNG battalions. The workshops has been conducted with the aim of developing the analytical thinking competency of the middle grade officers of under command brigades and battalions and working out a sound action plan in brigade level to operationalize the way forward strategy of 57 Division.
The staff officers from 572 Brigade Headquarter, and the officers from 6 SLSR and 14 SLNG who engage with the decision making processes in the battalion level including Commanding Officers participated for the workshop. In that, Brigadier DKSK Dolage USP psc, Commander 571 Brigade conducted a lecture on the theoretical aspects of the way forward strategy of the army and the mission oriented tasks conceptualization/operationalization. The Officers were given the opportunity for work practically on deriving a sound action plan for the battalion. The process for remaining brigades also will be continued in near future.
The General Officer Commanding 57 Division, Commander 571 Brigade, Commander 573 Brigade, and Colonel General Staff and staff officers of 57 Division attend for the occasion.
