Under the guidance of Major General Pradeep de Silva RSP, the General Officer Commanding 57 Division, the troops of 57 Division organized series of events to celebrate the Diwali. In that, they conducted a Shramadana programme to clean the Kilinochchi Kandasami Kovil premises from 0800 hour to 1200 hour on 26 and 27 October 2019 as the first event. This was organized with the aim of strengthening the reconciliation efforts between the military and civilians in the area of responsibility. 30 soldiers participated in the Shramadana programme by providing various assistance.
