A large gathering of troops serving in Kilinochchi, received a music therapy on 30 November 2018 evening at Nelumpiyasa auditorium on the instructions of the Commander Security Forces – Kilinochchi, Major General Ralf Nugera and under the supervision of General Officer Commanding, 57 Division, Major General Vijitha Ravipriya.
This programme was conducted by Veteran Musician, Mr. K Predeep Bogahawaththe and his “Crescendo” music institution. General Officer Commanding, 57 Division graced the event as the Chief Guest and 52 Officers and 800 Other Ranks participated in the event.
It helped Military personal to cope mentally and physically blended pleasure and it can be used to improve the behaviour, emotions and considered as a behavioural therapy as well. Furthermore, music therapy is usually considered as a stress management technique other than its direct clinical benefits.
