4TH BATTALION SRI LANKA NATIONAL GUARD TEAM SECURE THE INTER BATTALIONS ELLE TROPHY IN KILINOCHCHI
The annual Inter Battalion Elle Tournament of the Security Forces Kilnochchi which was organized by the 661 Brigade concluded on 01 December 2015 at Iranamadu Ground.\r\n\r\nTotal of 34 teams from Sri Lanka Army and 03 teams from Civil took part in the tournament, which was held from 18 April to 01 December 2015. In the final encounter between 4 SLNG and 9 VIR teams, the 4th Sri Lanka National Guard team beat rival to emerged as champions in the tournament. Corporal Aththanayake of the 4 SLNG team was adjudged as the best player in the tournament. \r\n\r\nA and B teams of the Mulankavil National School teams played for the finals in the civilian teams where A team of the Mulankavil National School emerged as champions. Y. Nisanthan of the winner team was adjudged as the best player in civil teams.\r\n\r\nMajor General Amal Karunasekara Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The trophies and certificates were given away by the Chief Guest to the winning and runners up teams both Army and Civil Matches.
