THE 3rd BATTALION OF GAJABA REGIMENT ACHIEVED OUTSTANDING FIRING RESULTS
Infantry battalion training is one of the most important training courses for commanding officer and all troops of the battalion to understand their capabilities, courage, determination as well as a good opportunity for solders to sharpen their skills. The mid-term assessment has been conducted with the direction of General Officer Commanding 57 Division Major General HJS Gunawardena RSP USP ndc psc for all troops of the battalion during the training at Battalion Training School (Ampakamam).\r\n\r\nCertificate awarding ceremony was organized by the Battalion Training School (Ampakamam) under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding 57 Division on 17 October 2017. Awards and Certificates were awarded to Officer and Other Rank first in order of merit, Best firer, Best officer and Best Other Ranker. \r\n\r\nThe 3rd Battalion of Gajaba Regiment has made a record in 57 Division by achieving outstanding firing results. Over 97% of men able to get 8 inch groping during battalion training firing test. This was achieved due to the guidance given by the General Officer Commanding 57 Division the collective effort of all weapon instructors of 57 Division. General Officer Commanding 57 Division appreciated the efforts taken by the instructors, during his troop address. \r\n
