37 years old women, K. Amudha, Barathipuram was rescued by S/16D00231 Corporal Dharmasena GSP RSP and S/16D00822 Private Kavintha GKN serve at the 16 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment established under 571 Brigade in 57 Division in the Security Forces - Kilinochchi.\r\n\r\nWhilst they returning to their headquarters from Kilinochchi town at 1400hrs on 23 January 2016, S/16D00231 Corporal Dharmasena GSP RSP and S/16D00822 Private Kavintha GKN heard, two Tamil children in the village were screaming for a help as women fell into the well. They both hurried to the place hold in their journey and tried down to the well using the rope which is approximately 15 feet in depth, since the lady was gradually drowning and struggling with life and death. Understanding delay causes to lose the opportunity saving the life of a lady, S/16D00231 Corporal Dharmasena GSP RSP leaped into the well, neglecting the danger for his own life and lady was got off from the well using the rope with the help of S/16D00822 Private Kavintha GKN and other neighbors.\r\n\r\nApplying the trained skills, experience gained through Army and immediate actions of these soldiers, 37 years old lady was able to rescue from ultimately death.\r\n
