BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN ORGANIZED BY 66 INFANTRY DIVISION

Responding positively to a request made by Provincial Blood Centre at Kilinochchi District Hospital, the General Officer Commanding 66 Infantry Division, Brigadier Mangala Wijesundara, made necessary arrangements for the conduct of a blood donation campaign coincide with the Independence Day at Headquarters 66 Infantry Division – Poonaryn, on 15 February 2019 with close coordination of medical staff.

Dr H. M. D. R. B Hindagoda and a medical team from District General Hospital - Kilinochchi assisted by the medical staff of 66 Division carried out the campaign with the leading arrangement done by staff of Main Dressing Station – 66 Division. More than 70 Army personnel belongs to under command Brigades and Battalions voluntarily donated their blood for the requirement of patients in Kilinochchi area during this campaign.
