66 DIVISION TRAINS ARMY PERSONNEL ON BEE-KEEPING

With the intention of introducing Bee keeping to Army and villagers in AOR of 66 Division, Pooneryn, a training programme was conducted to 40 Army personnel on Bee keeping on 16th May 2019 at 66 Division Headquarters.

Mr Tissa Bandara Thambawita and Mr Nuwan Keerthiratne, officials of the ‘Bingu Sampath Surakimu Association’ provided the lecture assistance to this effect at the request of Brigadier Mangala Wijesundara, General Officer Commanding, 66 Infantry Division.

Those trainees in future and expected to provide some training and instructions to villagers in order to begin Bee-keeping as an alternative income-generating industry at domestically in remote areas of Pooneryn.
