66 DIVISION CONDUCTS VESAK ZONE AT POONERYN

66 Infantry Division organized a series of arrangements to mark the Vesak Festival at Pooneryn area. troops of 661 Brigade and 24 Vijayaba Infantry Regiment on the directions of Brigadier Mangala Wijesundara, General Officer Commanding, 66 Infantry Division displayed a series of Vesak lanterns and Dansel at Pooneryn town on 18th and 19th May 2019.

Drinks, Biscuits, Chickpeas and Coriander water were served to more than 500 sightseers on 18th May by the troops of 661 Brigade and 24 Vijayaba Infantry Regiment. Meanwhile on 19th May Ice cream, Sago porridge and Chickpeas were served to more than 1000 civilians by troops of 66 Division.
