Under the guidance and direction of the Chief of Staff of the Army and the Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, and with the direction of the Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Darshani Yahampath, a ceremony to present New Year gifts to the troops serving in Seva Vanitha projects was held on 10 April 2026, at the RHQ – SLLI in line with the Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebrations.
New Year gifts were distributed to appreciated the dedicated service rendered by the light infantry troops who tirelessly perform their duties day and night for the betterment of the welfare projects managed under the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch.
The Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Branch, senior members, the Commandant of the Regimental Centre, along with officers and Other Ranks attended for occasion.
