MR & MRS PALINDA SAMARASINGHE GIVE THEIR HANDS TO HANDICAPPED TROOPS IN SLLI RHQ BN

With the guidance of Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army also the Col of the Regt Major General KADA Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, troops under SLLI flag launched another round of distribution of artificial limbs among the affected in terrorism activity in collaboration with the Mrs & Mr Palinda Samarasinghe to show off their concern towards the predicament of the handicapped in SLLI Regiment.

Assistance activity of Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment, programme was commenced in close liaison with RHQ BN.

Value of Rs:1,120,000 artificial limbs were distributed at the ceremony that was held at auditorium SLLI training School - Boossa. The ceremony was presided by Major General KADA Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Col of the Regiment and Mrs & Mr Palinda Samarasinghe, who are also the sponsors of the project.

In lieu of the Ceremony, 4 University students who were selected from the area of supremely sacrificed war heroes awarded with PWV for the bravery act during battle were donated scholarship of Rs. 5000.00 each in Monthly basis.
