THE COMMANDER OF THE ARMY\'S VISIT UN PEACE KEEPING MISSION CONTINGENT

The Commander of the Army visited Sri Lanka light Infantry Regiment on 20 Dec 17 to address the troops with the involvement of 10 Regiments like SLAC, SLE, SLSC, SLLI, MIR, CES, SLASC, SLAMC, SLAOC and SLEME who are ready to depart for the UN Mission in the Republic of Mali.

On arrival, a drive pass was accorded to the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General NUMMW Senanayake RWP RSP USP psc at the entrance to the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Premises before he was cordially welcomed by the Major General JR Kulatunga RSP ndc psc. After meth, Commander of the Army addressed the UN peace keeping troops elaborating the importance of maintain discipline during the period of UN duties.

After the interaction made between troops during the tea party, the group photograph was taken to remark the history. Also, 10 Center Commandants who nominated troops to the vide contingent participated to grace the occasion.
