THE, DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY AND ARCHEOLOGY - UNIVERSITY OF SRI JAYAWARDANAPURA VISITED TO REGIMENTAL HEADQUARTERS OF SRI LANKA LIGHT INFANTRY

Intellectual lectures along with 87 students of 3rd year of the Bachelors\' Degree programme of History and Archeology, headed by the Head of the Department of History and Archeology, Professor Alexander Kapukotuwa paid a visit to the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry on 13 November 2017 in order to witness the Museum and the War heroes Memorial. This contingent was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant of RHQ SLLI; therefore, Regtl adjutant expressed brief description on historical background of SLLI and its spectrum. Afterward, refreshment was offered to the visitors before visiting to the Museum and the War heroes Memorial. Students were eager to witness historical valuable items that are at the Museum paramount instruments for their studies, and they pleased for the visit and hospitalities. In accordance with the tradition, the students offered fruits to \"KANDULA\" before dispersing from the RHQ, SLLI.
