VISITING OF CHIEF OF STAFF TO SRI LANKA LIGHT INFANTRY
On 10 August 2017, the senior officers, officers and other rankers of the Sri Lanka Light infantry extended their best wishes and military honours to the newly appointed Chief of Staff, Major General KADA Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc who visited Regimental Headquarters for the first time after assuming of duties as the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army.
On arrival at the Regimental Headquarters, Major General KADA Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc was warmly received by Brigadier MM Kithsiri RWP RSP USP, Centre Commandant and inspected the Guard Turnout and the Ceremonial Parade presented with Regtl Colours in conformity with military traditions to Chief of Staff. After the military honours, he laid wreath at the War Heroes Monument to commemorate SLLI fallen war heroes.
Moreover Major General KADA Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc presenced for a group photograph with all officers before he left the Regimental Center SLLI premises.
