SLLI SEVA VANITHA BRANCH CONTINUES ITS CHARITY PROGRAMMES
Colonel of the Regiment, Major General KADA Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc attended the house handing over ceremony held at Mawanella as the Chief Guest at the invitation of the Hon. President of Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Dhananjani Karunasekara.
The war widow, Mrs UCD Samange, the wife of late L/Cpl Pushpakumara DPA of 7 SLLI who sacrificed his life for the motherland received this renovated house.
In an effort to strengthen the financial support, Seva Vanitha Branch worked hand in hand with the donor, Mr Rajeewa Ranasinghe for the renovation at a cost of Rs.825637.00. Mrs Chaya Gunaratne, a senior member of Seva Vanitha Branch certainly deserved credit for finding the donor for this good cause.
