VISIT TO MIHINDU SETH MEDURA – ATTIDIYA CONVALESCENT CARE CENTRE BY THE SRI LANKA LIGHT INFANTRY SEVA VANITHA BRANCH

In accordance with the guidance of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit, a visit was conducted to the Mihindu Seth Medura Attidiya Convalescent Care Centre on 12 December 2025 to inquire into the welfare of resident war heroes undergoing long-term medical treatment.

The visit was organized under the direction and guidance of the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc together with the guidance of the Honourable Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Darshani Yahampath.

During the visit, special attention was given to the heroic soldiers who, sacrificed their youth and limbs in the face of ruthless terrorism and now remain permanently disabled as a result of their gallant service in the line of duty. In recognition of their invaluable sacrifices and with the aim of uplifting their morale and enhancing their skills, a variety of essential equipment were donated to the resident war heroes. In addition, a midday meal was provided, and a musical entertainment programme was presented by the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Solo Band, offering much-needed emotional comfort and relaxation to the recovering soldiers.

The visit further served as an opportunity to personally inquire into the well-being of the war heroes, reaffirming the enduring commitment of the Sri Lanka Army and the Seva Vanitha Branch towards the welfare of its veterans.

The event was attended by the Honourable Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch, senior members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, the Center Commandant of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regimental, Staff Officers, and Other Ranks.
