Expressing our solidarity to the plight our citizens have faced due to flood, the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch responded to flood victims in Wellampitiya, Kelaniya, Kelanimulla and Hanwella by providing 6000 hot meal parcels, 2000 drinking water bottles and 250 readymade garments on 19 and 20 May 2016.
Giving the true meaning of Vesak, Seva Vanitha Branch cancelled the \"Vesak dansela\" and made their contribution for the needy fellow citizens. Further, Seva Vanitha Branch extended its gratitude to the Commanding Officers and All Ranks of SLLI battalions for the good deeds in providing fresh and dry rations.
President of Seva Vanitha branch, Mrs Dananjani Karunasekara along with some members, Commanding Officer 4 SLLI, Lt Col JKRP Jayasinghe RWP RSP USP SLLI and Commanding Officer 7 SLLI, Lt Col MPSP Kulasekara RWP RSP SLLI participated for this distribution.
