Under the guidance of the Quater Master General and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Major General G.M.N Perera RWP RSP USP ndc and under the supervision of the chairperson of the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Vajira Perera a donation programme was held on 10 Aug 2024 at the SLLI Regimental Center Lecture Hall.
During the programme Sport items were distributed for all the SLLI Battalions. This initiative underscores the importance of Sports in fostering physical fitness, teamwork, and discipline among our troops qualities that are essential to their overall well being and operational readiness.
In conjunction with this event the Seva Vanitha Branch of the SLLI also made a generous donation of Rs: 200,000.00 to support the medical treatment of a Wife of a retired officer, demonstrating our commitment to the welfare of our extended military family.
The event was graced by the presence of the president of the Seva Vanitha Branch, along with other distinguished members, staff officers, and personnel from the Regimental center.
