SLLI BECAME A RUNNER UP OF VOLUNTEER FORCE INTER REGIMENT ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIP 2018

The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Inter Regiment Athletics Championship 2018, was commenced ‘Diyagama Mahida Rajapaksha’ National Stadium from 20 to 22 Feb 18. Where SLLI became the Runner up Acquiring 214 points.

On 22 Feb 18, the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General NUMMW Senanayake RWP RSP USP psc as the Chief Guest along with Major General KADA Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army also the Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Major General AP de z Wickramarathna RWP ndu psc, Commandant Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and more Senior Officers attended for the closing ceremony

SLLI Tug of War team emerged the champions beating 19 Regiments. SLLI and SLEME Athletics Relay team became the Joint Champions, whist securing the first place for the Inter Regiment Closing Ceremony March Past by SLLI.
