Based on the noble vision of the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) and the Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, along with the Honourable Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Darshani Yahampath, a charitable programme was successfully conducted on 13.02.2025. The initiative aimed to donate school equipment and essential items to the children of the Mahabodhi Balika Child Development Centre, located in the Naduhena area of Meegoda.
This program was organised as part of a series of social welfare initiatives by the Sri Lanka Infantry Army Seva Vanitha Branch, dedicated to supporting the future generations of the nation—the sons and daughters who will conquer the world tomorrow. Alongside the distribution of supplies, a musical performance was presented by the regimental centre Calypso band to entertain the children residing at the centre. Additionally, arrangements were made to provide dinner for the children.
The event was attended by the Honourable President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, senior members, staff officers, and other ranks from the Regimental Centre.
