The direction and guidance of the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Major General Y A B M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, and under the close supervision of Mrs Darshani Yahampath, the President of the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch, the SVB-SLLI organised a holiday resort construction project and it was officially commenced by laying foundation stone on 11 September 2025 in 5 (V) SLLI camp premises at Pallekele, KANDY.
The initiative was conducted with the objective of uplifting the welfare holiday resort facility to the Other Ranks and their families. This project is funded by the SVB-SLLI and labour assistance will be provided by the Regimental Headquarters.
The President of the SVB-SLLI and Colonel of the Regiment graced the occasion as the Chief Guest along with the President of the SVB-SLLI, Senior Members of the SVB-SLLI, the Centre Commandant and Senior Officers of RHQ SLLI.
