SECOND PHASE OF DONATION PROGRAMME FOR HOUSING PROJECT

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment successfully conducted the second phase of the donation programme in support of the housing project on 7th September 2024 at the Regimental Center.

During the event, the Seva Vanitha Branch generously contributed Rs. 1,200,000, with Rs. 200,000 allocated to each of the six houses designated for soldiers. Additionally, a battery for an electric wheelchair was donated to a disabled war hero, exemplifying the branch’s continued dedication to the well-being of our servicemen.

This initiative forms part of a larger project through which funds have been donated to complete 17 houses, selected from units across the SLLI.

The President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, alongside members, staff officers and other ranks from the Regimental Center were present to support this impactful programme.
