Pabala Mela - 2014 carnival and trade exhibition started at Hikkaduwa public ground on 19 December 2014. The Colonel of the Regiment Major General Amal Karunasekara graced the occasion as the chief guest. Brigadier Sarath Embowa, Brigadier SKGNB Ehelamalpe, Brigadier Mahinda Mudalige, Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera and Centre Commandant Brigadier Channa weerasuriya were present at the opening event with other senior officers.
