OPENING CEREMONY OF NEWLY BUILT HOUSE

Seva Vanitha unit of Sri Lanka Light Infantry handed over a newly built house to family of late Major JC Malpahana RSP SLLI on 2 April 2016. Former Commander of the Army, General RMD Ratnayake WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc initiated this welfare project by donating one million rupees from Commander\'s fund. Seva Vanitha unit of Sri Lanka Light Infantry contributed one million rupees while Mrs JC Malpahana spent the rest of expenses. The house was built at Mattegoda and troops of 1st Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry provided the man power. Colonel of the Regiment, Major General KADA Karunasekara RSP VSV USP ndu psc declared opened the house at the auspicious time, amid of pirith chanting. Deputy Centre Commandant, Colonel GMN Perera RWP RSP and other Staff Officers of RHQ also participated for this event.
