With the Initiative of the Colonel of the Regiment, Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Major General Amal Karunasekara, Marians Unplugged Musical Show was jointly organized by the SLLI Regimental Headquarters and the SLLI SevaVanitha Unit for the War Heroes of our times who had sacrificed their legs and limbs for Sri Lanka’s territorial integrity.\r\n\r\nOver 1500 disable War Heroes from all corners of the island gathered at Maharagama National Youth Council auditorium on Monday (21) September 2015 evening to enjoy the musical show which was presented by the popular \'Marians Unplugged\' band. In addition to SLLI disable soldiers,it is openly invited to All Abimansala centres, Ranaviru Sevana-Ragama, Mihindu Seth Medura - Attidiya, Ranaviru Resource Centre - Hekitta and all RFT battalions to participate their soldiers for the event.\r\n \r\nMarians\' leader Mr. Nalin Perera and the clan, Sunil Perera, Mihira Sirithilaka and dancing spectacles of Army troupes were coloured the evening.\r\n\r\nMajor General Jagath Dias, Chief of Staff, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Colonel of the regiment SLLI, Major General Amal Karunasekara warmly received the Chief Guest. Mrs Dananjani Karunasekara, Chairperson, SLLI SevaVanitha Unit welcomed Mrs Sharanki Dias, Vice President, Army SevaVanitha Unit executive member and Chairperson, Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) Seva Vanitha Unit on arrival at the venue with the Chief Guest.\r\n\r\nMost senior SLLI veterans, former Commanders of the Army General Shantha Kottegoda (Retd), General Daya Ratnayake (Retd), their spouses, former Presidents of Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), Principal Staff Officers, Directors, Senior Officers, ASVU members, invitees and other ranks enjoyed the show.\r\n
