HISTORY BOOK LAUNCHING CEREMONY OF 4TH BATTALION SRI LANKA LIGHT INFANTRY
4 SLLI which has a proud history in the span of 29 years, celebrated its anniversary by presenting Guard of Honour to the Colonel of the Regiment, Maj Gen KADA Karunasekara RSP VSV USP ndu psc at the RHQ parade ground on 7 May 2016.\r\n\r\nThe culminating event to commemorate the 29th Anniversary of 4 SLLI took place in form of a book launch, encapsulating its history. The history book launching ceremony was held with the participation of Hon. Cabinet Minister for Regional Development, Field Marshal GSC Fonseka RWP RSP VSV USP rcds psc as the chief guest at RHQ auditorium. Colonel of the Regiment, Maj Gen KADA Karunasekara RSP VSV USP ndu psc, council members, Deputy Commandant, retired and serving former Commanding Officers of 4 SLLI attended for this proud moment. The first copy of the book was handed over to the Chief Guest by the Commanding Officer 4 SLLI, Lt Col JKRP Jayasinghe RWP RSP USP SLLI. This unique documentation of the history of 4 SLLI will indeed be much cherished and valued by all those who served and present generation of 4 SLLI as well. \r\n
