DISABLED WAR HEROES OF HQ BATTALION SLLI FACILITATED WITH FULLY PLEDGE AIR CONDITIONED MESS

During the first visit of Colonel of the Regiment Maj Gen JR Kulatunga RSP ndc psc at Boossa camp, it was identified the impotency of uplift the existing facilities in private mess for the disabled solders in RHQ battalion and directed to renovate the private mess. With the guidance of Colonel of the Regiment, RHQ battalion has taken necessary steps to renovate the private mess under the supervision of Col DAK Dissanayake WWV RWP RSP the Centre Commandant and Lt Col RMS Rajakaruna the Commanding Officer. RHQ battalion has renovated the private mess with enormous renovation as a fully air conditioned which consisted with 1400 sqft and facilities 100 disabled war heroes to have their meals at a time. Regimental Centre and RHQ battalion were beard main expenses with working force and donors also have financially contributed to the project.

Col of the Regiment has declared opened the mess on 08 may 2019 and Senior Regimental Council members, the Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Officers and ORs have participated to this opening ceremony.
