CULINARY WORKSHOP BY THE SEVA VANITHA BRANCH - SLLI

A culinary workshop was conducted on 09 November 2024 at the Regimental Centre SLLI under the guidance of Major General Y A B M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander - Security Forces (Central) and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) and supervision of Mrs. Darshani Yahampath, Chairperson of Seva Vanitha Branch SLLI with the participation of 150 spouses of the Officers and Other Rankers of SLLI.

The objective of subject workshop was to direct them for self employment on food production by utilizing the ingredients of Nestle Lanka, and upgrade the economic status of the soldiers’ families. Further, Nestle Lanka agreed to provide equipment and raw materials at subsidized prices for the Ranaviru families who intend to commence food production projects. Moreover, Seva Vanitha Branch SLLI has created an opportunity to sell newly introduced food products through the welfare shops of Regimental Centre, it’s under command battalions and regimental training school.

The President and members of Seva Vanitha Branch SLLI, and a number of Senior Officers of Regimental Centre SLLI participated in the event. Further, sponsorship for the said workshop was provided by Nestle Lanka Limited.
