17th Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment Major General GMN Perera RWP RSP USP ndc traditionally visited the Battalions after assuming the duties of the Colonel of the Regiment. As the First stage, he has visited the Battalions of 3 SLLI, 4 SLLI, 6 SLLI, 7 SLLI, 10 SLLI, 12 SLLI,
15 SLLI, 19 SLLI, and 9 (V) SLLI, 17 (V) SLLI Battalions on 22nd, 23rd and 24th on March 2024.
During his visit, he has addressed the Offrs and ORs to make the awareness about the soldiers discipline, welfare facilities of the soldiers, work life balance, prevention of the illegal activities, avoid online gambling and handling of social media.
In conjunction with this visit, the newly constructed Regiment Sergeant Major Chalet of the 7 SLLI was declared opened by the Colonel of the Regiment.
