ARMY COMMANDER DECLARED OPEN THE NEW SLLI INDOOR GYMNASIUM
On invitation by Major General KADA Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc the Chief of Staff in the Sri Lanka Army also the Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Lieutenant General NUMMW Senanayake RWP RSP USP psc, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army declared open the New Sri Lanka Light Infantry Indoor Gymnasium on 25 August 2017.
On arrival, Commander of the Army as the Chief Guest for the occasion was greeted by a Guard Turnout at the entrance to the Sri Lanka Light Infantry regiment and followed by a Guard of Honour according to military traditions.
Later, Comd of the Army along with Col of the Regt Major General KADA Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Major General JR Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Major General RA Nugera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu, Major General LM Mudalige RWP RSP ndu, and Major General ALSK Perera RWP RSP USP ndu visited the proud war heroes monument for floral tribute. After that, opening of Gymnasium was declared by the Comd of the Army through the traditional dancing to make the event glitter.
The Council members, other senior officers, officers, and other ranks in the Sri Lanka Light Infantry attended for the occasion.
After the troop address, Commander of the Army Lieutenant General NUMMW Senanayake RWP RSP USP psc attended for the group photograph with all Officers before his departure.
