As per the directions of Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Unit, an annual hospital visit to the Abhimansala at Anuradhapura was conducted under the supervision of Thushari kulatunga, the honourable chairperson of Seva Vanitha branch SLLI in cooperated with the Col of the Regiment Maj Gen JR Kulatunga RSP ndc psc and Maj Gen LM Mudalige RWP RSP ndu Commander 24 Division, Col DAK Dissanayake WWV RWP RSP the Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, the honourable secretary Seva vanitha branch SLLI, Senior members of the branch and Senior actress Malani Fonseka, Sachini Ayendra, Wathsala Diyalagoda, Udari Perera, actor Roshan Ranawana and Senior Modelist were also graced the occasion. On 2nd June 2019.
The aim of the visit was to look after and observe the present condition of 39 disabled war heroes who were admitted to the Abhimansala due to scarification of their future for the sovereignty and integrity of the motherland during the period humanitarian operation too placed.
During the visit, many essential items such as stand fans, bed sheets, table cloths, serviettes, pillow cases, rubber carpet, curtains, dustbin CFL bulbs, trolley, clocks had been donated to the both admitted war heroes and to the Abhimansala. The total cost of this event over one million which is bared by Mr Tharanga Lanka Weerawardhana the chairman of Alaris lanka holdings. Further, program was included distribution of dry ration packs among the close relations of war heroes and lunch along with music program and dancing events also included to this programme.
The Col of the Regt, the Centre Commandant SLLI, and the Commandant Abhimansala were highly appreciated the commitment rendarded by the Seva Vanitha Branch SLLL to organized this valuable event in the Abimansala.
