Annual General Meeting - 2022

The Sri Lanka Army Association was established on 17 December 1945 under the leadership of Sir General Sir John Kotelawala and is currently the oldest military association in the Sri Lanka Army. Its Annual General Conference was held on 19 March 2022 at the Regiment Center with the participation of a large number of its members, including retired officers.

Sri Lanka Light Infantry Association established with the primary objective of supporting the advancement and development of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry as well as the welfare of retired members, the Infantry Association has become one of the strongest retirement associations currently established in the Sri Lanka Army.

The Sri Lanka Light Infantry Association was held with newly appointed staff members on 19th March 2022 under the chairmanship of Hon. President General RMD Ratnayake (Rtd) WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc. Further the occasion was graced by the Senior patrons Major General MTW Ponnamperuma (Rtd) RSP USP, Major General AMU Senevirathna (Rtd) RSP USP ndc, General SHS Kottegoda (Rtd) WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc, Major General N Mallawaarchchi (Rtd) RWP VSV USP ndc psc.

The occasion was successfully concluded with guidance of Major General TJ Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu, the Deputy Chief of Staff and Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry. Furthermore, event was unfolded in accordance with COVID 19 preventive measures.
