71ST ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF SRI LANKA LIGHT INFANTRY ASSOCIATION - 2024

The Sri Lanka Light Infantry Association, established on 17 December 1945 under the leadership of General Sir John Kotelawala, which is the oldest military association of the Sri Lanka Army. Further its 71st Annual General Meeting was held on 30th March 2024 at the Regimental Center. It was held with the participation of a large number of retired officers and soldiers. Major General Ranjith de Silva (Rtd) RWP RSP VSV USP psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The primary objectives of the organization were to foster fellowship, solidarity and camaraderie among the members of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Association. Further, the association provides financial and social assistance for the wellbeing of the members.

In addition, General Daya Ratnayake (Rtd) WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc was appointed as the new President of the association. Further, Overlooking Director General General Staff, Quarter Master General of Sri Lanka Army and present Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry Major General Mihidu Perera RWP RSP USP ndc participated for the event.
