68 Division Donates Sewing Machines, Wheelchairs & Other Requirements Needed for Poultry Farming
A recent simple ceremony, organized by 682 Brigade troops, together with 68 Division General Officer Commanding and 682 Brigade Commander, saw several sewing machines and requirements for establishment of poultries were distributed among poor civilians in Puthukkuddiyirippu.\r\n \r\nWidows, elders and poor civilians were the beneficiaries of those gifted items who are ready to start self employment projects. The philanthropist, Mr Kadirgamanathan, a Switzerland-based Sri Lankan, has offered those items to the Security Forces Headquarters, Mullaittivu, at the request of 68 Division.\r\n \r\nMeanwhile, all Brigades under 68 Division made elaborate arrangements in connection with recent Vesak celebrations. Soldiers prepared Vesak lanterns, lit up the areas and conducted Dansel in a few areas under 68 Division.\r\n \r\nDuring the same period, troops donated two wheelchairs and sanitary chairs to two physically handicapped children in Iranapalai area.\r\n
