Basic Swimming Course No 165 successfully passed out on 19 May 2023 at Army Physical Training School - PANAGODA. The Commandant of the Army Physical Training School Col K A D C R Kannangara RSP graced the occasion as the Chief guest.

Aiming to enhance the military efficiency of the Sri Lanka Army with the objective of producing the required basic swimming instructors to maintain the high standard of physical fitness of the soldiers in the Army, commenced the basic swimming course - No 165 (Male) was commenced on 28th Feb 2023 with participation of 28 male students at the Army Physical Training School , Panagoda. Colonel KADCR Kannangara RSP the Commandant Army Physical Training School conducted the opening address of the course.

The Army Physical Training School , PNG was visited by the Brig (TRG C & M) Dte of RCD Brigadier CS Pathmashantha RSP psc on 24th February 2023 and cordially welcomed by the Commandant and all staff officers/instructors of the school. During the visit, Commandant Colonel Rukshan Kannangara RSP delivered a comprehensive briefing regarding the APTS, responsibilities and topics related to training audit.
