ASSUMING DUTIES AS THE 10th COMMANDING OFFICER OF 9th BATTALION THE VIJAYABAHU INFANTRY REGIMENT

Maj H M L B Wijeykoon RWP RSP assumed duties as 10th Commanding Officer of 09th Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment on 07th July 2025 at 9th Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment KALLAR with a formal military ceremony.

Newly appointed Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by Maj S P C Nishan the Second in Command and saluted with the Guard Turnout. The Commanding Officer symbolically placed his signature for an official document amidst religious blessings to signify the acceptance of the duties. Second in Command, all Officers and Other ranks attended the occasion.
