The Army Inter-Regiment Muay Thai Championship 2024 organized by Army Muay Thai Committee concluded successfully at the Army Boxing Indoor Stadium, Panagoda on 10 November 2024 showcasing the skills of over 167 players from twelve regiments.
In a competitive men’s final, the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment emerged as champions in the men’s category, securing 8 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze medals, claiming the title for the third consecutive year. The Gajaba Regiment took the runner-up position with 4 gold, 4 silver, and 8 bronze medals, while third place was jointly awarded to the Sri Lanka Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Regiment and the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Military Police.
In the women’s category, the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps claimed the victory, showcasing remarkable talent and skill.
Brigadier K.D.M.L Samaradiwakara RWP RSP ndc psc, the Officiating Director General Training and Chairman of the Army Muay Thai Committee graced the event as the chief guest and presented awards and trophies to the winners. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended the event.
