COLONEL OF THE REGIMENT LAYS FOUNDATION STONE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW OR’S KITCHEN

While uplifting the living standard and welfare of the soldiers, Construction of a new Kitchen for Oher Ranks of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment was initiated under the directions of the Commander, Security Forces – Central and Colonel of the Regiment of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Major General Nalin Bandaranayake USP on 27 April 2025.

The foundation stone laying ceremony for Construction of a new OR’s Kitchen was held amongst religious formalities and blessings of the Maha Sangha and the laying of the foundation stones were done by the Commander, Security Forces – Central and Colonel of the Regiment of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Major General Nalin Bandaranayake USP and the General Officer Commanding 57 Infantry Division, Major General Luxman Samaradiwakara RWP RSP ndc psc amidst pirith chanting at auspicious time.

Major General Janith Bandara, The Centre Commandant, Deputy Centre Commandant of the Regimental Centre, Regimental Staff, Commanding Officers and Other Ranks participated in this ceremony.
