Maj RWDB Rathninda RWP RSP USP assumed duties as 19th commanding officer of 6th battalion the vijayabahu infantry regiment. On 24th November 2025 at 6th battalion the Vijayabahu infantry regiment Boyagane with a formal military ceremony.

Newly appointed Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by Maj PYLK Yapa and saluted with the Guard Turnout. The Commanding Officer symbolically placed his signature for an official document amidst religious blessings to signify the acceptance of the duties.
