VOLUNTEER FORCE ENCOURAGES AGRICULTURE ENTREPRENEURS

The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force widening its horizons, a selective group of soldiers was trained on beekeeping for promoting entrepreneurs in the field of agriculture following the concept of Major General D G S Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 26 August 2022 at the Headquarters of the Volunteer Force.

New phases of agriculture in beekeeping characterized with new challenges, free markets, and sustainability were subjected for the workshop and the programme was conducted by Colonel Hemantha Perera, Colonel Coordinating Officer, 22 Division who is an expert in the respective field.

Especially, a practical session on proper beehive placements was brought out inculcating the skill on beekeeping.

The programme completely covered the expected outcomes providing an inspirational stimulation for being entrepreneurs in the field of beekeeping in future.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended the session.
