The Training Day that entails physical training, lectures, drills, and recreational activities was successfully concluded under the instructions of Major General D K S K Dolage USP nps psc - the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) on 11 March 2025 at the Headquarters SLAVF.
The days’ training commenced with a physical training session, and then it was followed by Cane Drill that is a core element of the military.
The programme of the day precisely focused on creating an opportunity for the officers to enhance their skills and knowledge. Accordingly, a scholarly session dedicated for the presentations of officers was unfolded with pertinent touches of varied perspectives. In fostering the role of a military officer, an evaluation was made by a panel of judges headed by Brigadier H A Keerthinatha RSP KSP psc highlighting strengths and limitations of the presenters that are required essential reinforcement and development.
The programme attended by senior officers and officers of the Headquarters SLAVF was closely supervised by Brigadier B M R J Bandara - the Deputy Commandant SLAVF and successfully administered by Colonel T S B R Fernando - Colonel Training SLAVF.
