SLAVF HANDS IN HAND WITH COMMUNITY WORK

Coincide with the 76th Army Day Celebration, the SLAVF launched a programme on repairing medical equipment belonged to government hospital Kosgama. The handover ceremony of those equipment was graced by the Commandant- SLAVF, Major General K V N P Premaratne RSP USP nps psc and he vested them in the hospital authority on 07 October 2025 during a simple ceremony.

Accordingly, seven wheel chairs, three trollies, eight saline stands and beds which had been out of service due to the shortage of maintenance back in service with the assistance of troops of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Workshop, Kosgama.

Moreover, in response to the request made by the authority of the hospital, a two day cleaning campaign was successfully carried out by the troops of SLAVF.

The event was attended by senior officers, officers, other ranks of SLAVF and hospital authorities.
