Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndcpsc, the Commander of the Security Forces (West) and Commandant (Overlooking) of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), awarded financial grants to officers pursuing advanced military studies on 10th January at the SLAVF Headquarters.
For the academic year 2025, officers of the Volunteer Force qualified to undertake prestigious programmes such as the Passed Staff College (psc) qualification, which follows the Defense Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), and the Logistics Staff Course (Lsc). These courses represent the pinnacle of professional training in logistics, administration, and military command offered by the Sri Lanka Army.
Major General Lanka Amarapala symbolically presented financial grants to the selected officers during the ceremony. A total of 11 officers received grants of LKR 50,000 each, designed to support their academic pursuits and empower them to achieve their career aspirations.
Brigadier B. M. R. J. Bandara, Deputy Commandant (Overlooking), along with senior officers and other attendees, congratulated the recipients and wished them success in their academic endeavours.
