LECTURE ON ROLE AND TASK OF GENERAL CELL OF SLAVF HELD FOR VOLUNTEER TROOPS

In parallel with the Training Day Programme, troops of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force listened to an important lecture on the duties carried out by the General Cell of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 14 December at the Multifunctional Hall SLAVF.

The lecture was delivered by Lieutenant Colonel A M W P Abeysekara SLSR, Staff Officer 1 of the General Cell SLAVF, under the guideline of the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force. The lecture was covered the procedures of commissioning, posting, service extension, release from active service, overseas leave, resignation, withdrawing of commission, cashiering of commission and medical board.

Towards the end of the lecture, the participants interacted in a Question-and-Answer session through which their concerns and queries.

Inspector of Training, senior officers, officers and other ranks of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force were present for this informative lecture. Further, members of the volunteer battalions joined the lecture via Zoom technology.
