DRY RATION DONATION PROGRAMME AT THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE VOLUNTEER FORCE

Revitalizing hands of hardships with provisions, yet another donation programme of dry ration was unfolded by the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Unit at the Multi-Functional Hall of the Headquarters in the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) on 30 October 2024.

The initiative was based on the concept of Lieutenant General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu - the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army and Mrs. Janaki Liyanage - the President of the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Unit.

The event was presided by Major General B K G M L Rodrigo RSP psc IG - the Commandant SLAVF, and the endeavor was successfully culminated under the close supervision of Brigadier B M R J Bandara - the Deputy Commandant (Overlooking) and Inspector of Training, SLAVF.

A pack of dry ration including several essential food items which is worth over Rs. 6000 was donated amongst the strength of 100 handpicked members and civil staff of the Volunteer Force.

Brigadier B J Lekamge RSP KSP - Brigadier Administration, Brigadier K G U T Jayasinghe- Brigadier Logistics and Colonel A V A R K Abewikkrama RWP RSP - Colonel General Staff participated in distributing the ration packs. The event was attended by Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.
