A DRY RATION DONATION AT THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE VOLUNTEER FORCE

In purpose of revitalizing hands of hardships, the third phase of the dry ration distribution programme was unfolded at the Multi - Functional Hall of the Headquarters in the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) on 17 December 2024.

This initiative is the brainchild of Lieutenant General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu - the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army and Mrs. Janaki Liyanage - the President of the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Unit, and being successfully realized for the benefits of the serving members in the respective establishments of the Sri Lanka Army.

Major General M G W W W M C B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc - the Commandant of the Volunteer Force participated in the dry ration distribution programme, and the endeavor was successfully culminated under the close supervision of Brigadier B M R J Bandara - the Deputy Commandant (Overlooking) and Inspector of Training, SLAVF.

A pack of dry ration including essential food items which is worth over Rs. 5000 was donated amongst the strength of 100 handpicked members and civil staff of the Volunteer Force.

The event was attended by Brigadier A M C Abeykoon RWP RSP USP - Principal Staff Officer, Brigadier B J Lekamge RSP KSP - Brigadier Administration, Brigadier K G U T Jayasinghe- Brigadier Logistics, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Headquarters SLAVF.
