Reviving the humanitarian spirit of honouring and remembering the noble role of the soldier, a digital mission is being operated within the Army establishments under the direction of the Commander of the Army. Undertaking this initiative as a national responsibility, a dedicated airtime has been offered by the Sri Lanka Sinhala Radio Broadcasting Service Lak FM, creating a voice platform to appreciate the service of serving soldiers. This platform serves as a mirror, reflecting the souls of forgotten war heroes.
Realizing its third phase, the programme was successfully streamed live on 26 November 2025 at the Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), under the instructions of Major General K V N P Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, the Commandant SLAVF.
The event was completely unfolded in accordance with scheduled formalities and a large gathering joined via varied digital platforms. A commemorative tribute note was made by the Senior Lecturer Ajith Krishantha De Seram of the University of Visual and Performing Arts recalling the notable service rendered by the patriots on this soli.
Aspiring vocal performers represented respective military establishments participated in the event and their outstanding performance contributed meaningfully in fulfilling the expected mission of the programme.
The programme was made possible through the generous contributions of its sponsors whose assistance were instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of the event.
The event was attended by Brigadier P M S Karunaratne psc – the Principal Staff Officer, Brigadier H A Keerthinatha RSP KSP psc - Brigadier Administration, Mr. Sanath Wattegedara - the Chief Executive Officer of the Lak FM and the Staff, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks.
